Ingredients

  • 8 oz about 2 cups mini pretzels (traditional twist shape or pretzel rods)
  • 12 oz white chocolate chips or white chocolate baking bars
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil or shortening for smoother dipping
Optional Toppings:
  • Sprinkles seasonal colors
  • Crushed nuts e.g., pistachios
  • Crushed candy canes perfect for Christmas
  • Sea salt a tiny pinch for sweetness balance
  • Colored candy melts for drizzling

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper or silicone mat
  • Microwave-safe bowl
  • Fork

Method

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  2. Place the white chocolate and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until melted and smooth. If the chocolate is too thick, add more coconut oil.
  3. Dip each pretzel halfway into the melted white chocolate, using a fork to tap off excess. For fully covered pretzels, dip completely and lift with a fork, tapping to remove excess.
  4. Add your desired toppings while the chocolate is still wet.
  5. Place the dipped pretzels on the prepared baking sheet, making sure they don't touch. Refrigerate for about 15 minutes or set at room temperature for about 30 minutes until the chocolate is set.

Notes

You can use white chocolate baking bars for smoother dipping.
For a dairy-free version, substitute with white chocolate alternatives and increase the coconut oil for the right consistency.
Experiment with toppings like sprinkles, crushed Oreos, or drizzling with dark chocolate.
