Method
- Rinse lemon balm leaves if using fresh.
- Heat water just before boiling – look for small bubbles around the edges.
- Place lemon balm leaves in a mug or teapot. Add ginger if using.
- Pour hot water over the herbs and cover.
- Steep for 8–10 minutes.
- Strain the tea into a cup.
- Add lemon slice and honey if desired.
- Drink 1 cup 3x daily – morning (empty stomach), before lunch, and before bed for optimal results.
Notes
Do not boil the water fully – gentle steeping preserves beneficial oils in lemon balm.
Fresh lemon balm is more effective, but dried works too.
Optional add-ins: fennel, green tea, chamomile, raspberry leaf, cinnamon stick, dandelion.
Great for reducing bloating, stress eating, and nighttime cravings.
Consult a doctor if pregnant, on thyroid meds, or sedatives.
